He Hit the Bat With the Bat: How Do You Interpret That?!

He hit the bat with the bat. As a Biology major, her field work landed her in an actual field! The teacher asked her students to draw on their life experiences for the pictures they were assigned to draw. How often does this happen in our line of work? We hear a word and depending on the context we have to adjust our sign choice to reflect a different meaning than we may have in a previous interpretation of that same word. This workshop will focus on the multitude of homonyms we encounter in our work and foster a discussion on the importance of understanding their various meanings and the impact it can have on our interpretation.
