Golden Anniversary Gala
On October 12, 2017, Willie Ross held its Golden Anniversary Gala Celebration: Past, Present, Future at Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. With founders, alumni, current students, staff and families in attendance, a keynote address from actor Anthony Natale and emceed by Kathy Tobin, the evening was a tribute to our school’s success. The event included reflections on the school’s history, where Willie Ross is today, and a special glimpse of new things to come.
On July 15, The Willie Ross School for the Deaf hosted SummerFest, a community celebration for all in honor of the school’s 50th anniversary. Throughout the day at Greenwood Park in Longmeadow, approximately 250 neighbors and friends of Willie Ross enjoyed family-friendly entertainment, a barbecue, art activities, face painting, a bouncy house, and field games.
